Fine art logistics and secure transport
Transport and Handling of
Artworks in Italy and Worldwide.
Transporting and handling works of art calls for specialist expertise, high security standards and an in-depth knowledge of the sector. When dealing with pieces of great economic, historical and cultural value, every stage of the process must be managed with the utmost care and professionalism.
CD ART Moving was created out of the experience of Traslochi CD Removals, a leading company in domestic and international removals and transport, as a division dedicated to fine art logistics and services for the art world.
We provide a complete service covering art transport, the handling of cultural property, domestic and international shipping, import and export customs formalities and specialist assistance for museums, galleries, foundations, private collectors and auction houses.
With a well-established network of partners and agents worldwide, we deliver a door-to-door service, following every stage of transport with precision and reliability, from collection through to delivery and final installation.
Our high quality standards and highly qualified staff ensure maximum protection on every kind of shipment, whether by road, sea or air. Each project is planned individually to guarantee the complete safety of the works at every stage of handling.
We also have an in-house joinery specialising in the design and construction of bespoke crates and packing for works of art. We build custom crates with purpose-made padding, compliant with the international ISPM-15 standard, fumigated and certified for intercontinental shipping.
Our dedicated fine art fleet is fitted with GPS satellite systems, continuous position monitoring, temperature and humidity control, insulated bodies and padded interiors to guarantee optimal conditions on every move.
Over the years we have built up substantial experience in transporting paintings, sculptures, art installations, private collections and cultural property of particular value. We work with museums, galleries, foundations and auction houses, providing specialist logistics for temporary exhibitions, international shows and permanent relocations.
Choosing CD ART Moving means working with an expert in fine art transport, able to guarantee security, traceability, professionalism and full support in Italy and worldwide.
